Leghorns are great egg laying chickens. They are friendly to other Leghorns and can easily fly. The only problems is that they are bad in the pecking order and they can make a mess of the yard....

seem like a good breed, if i had the room i would probably raise a batch of them they seem like they would be a good 4h starter show bird...considering i dont see many of this breed in my class...

Peeps is a beautiful white leghorn roo that I hatched as part of a science project. Unfortunately, my parents won't let me keep him any more, and I don't want to eat him. I have three other hens who he protects very well from the numerous hawks in the area. He's really nice to me, but he's a little mean to my grandmother. But otherwise, he is a very nice chicken.

I'm too far away or else I'd take him. My leghorn roo (along with my other 3 roos) were all killed by a dog this past weekend :( He's very nice

The Chunky Dunk, "we don't skinny dip, we chunky dunk!"
Proud mother of 10 yr old daughter, 6 year old son, a mixed flock but showing BCMs, 5 Nubian goats, 3 dogs, and 2 cats, all living together peacefully (yeah, right ) on a hopefully one day self-sufficient 15 acres.

I have a walk in Coop with plenty of scratching room..he'd have 5 Gals to pal around with & he sounds just like what my Hubby wants,,Foghorn Leghorn..:)(from the old comics...LOL) The climate would be @ the same..Sunny Florida but...it's a long way to go. Didn't see if you knew how much to ship..definately would go to a "Pet Enviroment!" GAP
