emu chick is still peeping and rocking his egg.. hasn't externally pipped yet though (it can take several days)

 

my chicken eggs are alive but no pips yet.. I have them in a Brinsea mini which is running a hair cooler than my bigger bators.. but it was the only bator that didnt have emu eggs in it.. so I expect them to be right on day 21 or maybe 22 when they hatch

yinepu I'm so excited your emu eggs are doing good. I had such a hard time waiting on my chicken eggs to hatch that I couldn't imagine waiting on an emu :)

oh it only takes about 50 days.. give or take a few... and I'm hand turning 5 times a day.. last one is due to hatch April 4th... wee.gif

Congrats Stone Where are the pics? I cant wait to see the emu come out too. I have 23 so far it has been a busy day had to help 4 they were stuck they may have made it but I was waiting it out and one died so I started helping the others. A couple pics one is of the new bator I started.

Well my babies were panting so I risked it by opening the bator and putting them in the brooder. I'm streaming the brooder now on ustream. This was the best pic I got out of it, mainly because my daughter was hogging them tonight :)
