Female Geese Trying to Mate with Each Other

We checked the eggs. Six of them were rotten. Two of them were fine. So we had our first goose eggs. Yummy! But we now have a new problem. Some more eggs appeared, and now both the geese sit on the eggs. Most of the time the male??? sits on the eggs, but some times we find him grazing outside, and Lilly sitting on the eggs! I am now more confused than ever before. Does male geese sit on eggs like ostriches? Or do I have 2x females and they share the same nest - both laying eggs and making turns to sit on them? Please help! How can I see for sure that the eggs are fertile?

I'd advise reading this , it will help you to determine if the eggs are fertile. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/491013/goose-incubation-hatching-guide-completed. I've never seen my gander actually sit on eggs before although he has gone over and looked at them.
