Help sexing wyandotte chickens- 2 weeks on update - Page 2

#4 is a boy-way too big of a comb for that age. The SLW-not sure. Their combs seem big for the age-but their feathering seems girl at this point. #2 is a question at this point :)

Ok, so I still have no idea about the sex of the silver laced wyandottes. So here is a update 2 weeks on. They are now 11-12 weeks old. They have different feathering on their tails does mean anything??

Thanks!! Anyone else in agreement or have a different opinion??? Their feathering seems very different to me. Is this an indication of their sex?? Need some chicken expertise please!!

Yup, they both look like pullets

Some of them are called mad and are shut up in rooms where they stare at the walls all day. Others are called writers and they do pretty much the same thing.”

I picked up 3 SLWs today from TSC. Is there any way to tell the sex from young chicks?

I'm not sure I can do vent sexing or not. I'd probably need a good magnifying glass and even then I'm not sure.

What is the male feathering pattern?

My experience is that SLW boys have all black tail feathers that are pointed at the tip while the girls have tails with the laced pattern and blunt or rounded tail feather tips. Hope this helps.

They are both pullets, #4 appears to be the only rooster in the mix...

A Rottweiler (Roxy), a Labrador retriever (Gypsy), 2 breeding turkeys, 7 poults, 3 goats (Charlotte, Tata & Oreo), four ducks, 3 geckos and a yard full of chickens...

Going back home. No internet at the house, so I won't be online as much. Sorry for any RP inconveniences.
