Now on a serious note, are they able to breed successfully or do they have to be AI'd?

They remind me of the Giant Dewlap Toulouse love.gif

I've read that the larger breeds need deep water to mate successfully.

That would make sense... being that they're so big. Seeing this pic makes me glad that I decided to go with Anconas instead of the Rouens. Pretty feathers though!

Hey all, I'm Sierra and I currently own: one Blue swede, 1 GWH, 1 Buff Orp, 4 ancona ducklings hatched jun 28th/29th, and 1 Whippet (dog)

Then I better be getting a deeper pool. I only have kiddie pool and they just lift their legs up and float when they want to but most of the time they can shuffle their feet around. They are big but not even full grown!

I am a chicken fanatic!

    I love them all!

Along  with any animal!

I have stopped trying to post all my chickens on here because I have now come to the point where I have to many to post!!

Anyways, I have Serama eggs for sale. (Limited Availablility.)

LOL I wish I could get them a deeper pool They have hard engough trouble getting in a small kiddie pool. Guess I could try burying it in the ground a little.
