New anomaly in signatures showing up in site template

Wouldn't you know it, the time comes when I'm idle enough to make a cute ASCII chicken in my signature, and hours later I come back to find that for some reason, a single 'return' in html is now double-spaced. There isn't any way for me to change this in my editing code, and it's probably not a big deal...however what I'm really finding is that this double-spacing in everyone's signatures leads to a lot of extraneous scrolling, all added up.

Just FYI.

It doesn't look double spaced to me, and the chicken (which is adorable, btw) looks fine.

Yup, looks fine to me too.

ASCII's pretty tricky for drawing in a dynamic environment, especially in a situation like this with a lot of different variables, browsers, fonts, etc.

Weird, because everyone's sig changed a couple of days ago and it's been like that since...but I'm on a mac and haven't had to restart in weeks...so I'll try that.
