Terrible hatch!

So, I'm not gonna whine toooo much, but need some opinions. I set 38 Silke eggs. I quit early on. Day 16 took out of turner. Candled & 2 looked questionable. Everybody else fine & moving. Day 17 started to raise humidity. Day 18, 19 eggs hatched like gangbusters in a 24-hour period. Day 19 everything stopped. 2 questionable eggs were late quitters. 17 eggs, fully formed but yolk not absorbed were dead. One had a very thick membrane. The rest...? Any opinions?

 

I DO have 19 beautiful babies but 17 is a lot to lose.

Let me add that I did not open the bator (learned that lesson the hard way). Could it be that the hatched chicks & shells moving around the eggs like hockey pucks could have killed them? None even pipped.

what was ur temp ? sounds like it might have been a little cool

About 100. It was tough getting humidity up. What baffles me is that all were alive when I took them out of turner, and the 19 hatched like crazy!
