Are there any hatcheries that I can order from that would ship around 10+ chickens and around 5 turkeys? I wanted to get Two toms Two hens (heritage) to breed/meat with and one BB just for meat. I really don't want to order 15 turkeys to fill a min order. Not only is it expensive, but I just don't want that many

hatcheries..anywhere that allows min orders to be filled with chicks and a few turkeys
I would call McMurray, Meyer and Ideal. One of them ought to allow that.

You need to look locally in the spring. Hatcheries do not sex the heritage poults so you can't order 2 toms and 2 hens I don't think. You should get a few extras if you have never raised turkeys before. I think poults are as easy as chicks but many people really have trouble raising them. You may have some loss in your first try. Don't know where in the country you are but you should be able to find some locally on CL's and get how many you want for less than a hatchery. Shipping can be very hard on poults.

My local feed store has turkey poults when the chicks come into the store in the spring. If all else fails, you could go that route.
Blue Swedish Ducks, Gray Saddleback Pomeranian Geese, Silver Appleyard Ducks, all EQ. Hatching eggs available for ducks. NPIP

I think Purely Poultry and eFowl have very small minimum orders for turkeys such as only 3 but I may be wrong about that. You might want to check if your feed store to see if they sell turkey poults because that way you could skip the shipping hassle and get as few birds as you want.
Edit: forget what I said about ideal poultry, I just remembered that they actually do have a minimum of 15 for their heritage poults (just not the broad breasted).

Sometimes I post at the grocery store that I need someone to go in on a poultry order with me. You can get others who also only want 5 or so, and its perfect. I don't know any hatchery that will ship less than 15 w/o a big shipping charge. I also don't know of any that will sex rare breeds or heritage breeds. I always have to get straigt run for the Chocolate turkeys. I'm with the others, see what your local feed store and farm store will be offereing in the way of youngsters, and just order what you actually require. (although increasingly they also have minimums, but its fewer than 15. Good luck.
