HELP!! Twin embryos in a Blue Silkie egg

I once had a hen with 11 eggs under her hatch out 12 healthy chicks. I would not have knowingly set a double yolk egg. I noticed 1 egg was a little longer than normal, but not enough to be a double. I was obviously wrong but all 12 chicks were healthy.

Hi all,
I've been interestingly searching the Internet for twin eggs and came across this post and read along with interest, big shame about the outcome. I also saw the video back in 2008 of the lady assisting the twin chicks hatch.
I'm a complete novice, and have just bought an incubator and have set 11 silkie eggs, thought it would be a great family project.
Any road, it's day 10 and all 11 eggs are fertile and I believe developing well.
I was very surprised all were fertile when I checked having done a fair bit of reading on the whole process. But one egg (#1) which I set in the middle of the incubator had a large shadow on candling, didn't look like a bloodline and after inspecting for another few minutes witnessed it move! With that I put it back in the incubator but didn't hold out much hope as couldn't find anything similer on Google!
Day 10 was today, and checked the egg again out of interest, to my surprise I saw 2 embryos both moving! My initial thoughts were disappointment as I didn't for a second think they'd be any chance of survival. But to my complete surprise came across the YouTube video, and following that this post.
So the egg is now back in the incubator, and we'll see what happens. Odds of survival are obviously slim to none, especially due to fact that this by first batch and the egg is the smallest in the batch, these will be miniature twins if the miracle happens, so even if the odds are one billion to one, there is a chance so why not let them have a shot at survival, was ready to bin the egg an hour ago and was only the number of positive people that made my mind up to leave it!
All said I'd just be happy to hatch at least one chick from the whole batch, it would still be big success for the family! Although it would be very lonely!
