All in all I'm pretty impressed about how the pictures turned out. Animal photography is hard.

#1 You have to make sure the animal stays in the sun light. This means you might put seed out were the sun light is.

#2 The animal has to be the right angle for the sun to hit him. The sun has to be the right angle also.

#3 The animal needs to be doing something. Maybe looking at you or crowing in this case.

#4 You have to get his attention. If they turn around and start pecking at the ground, then the picture won't turn out right.

Lots of things to remember! But the pictures will make you so proud.

The second and third shots of Red are beautiful, you've captured that moment of Roosterness, the Cocky Cockeral.  I love it!  There's nothing that makes me smile more than when my rooster starts up with some ridiculous noise - whenever he sees his girls from across the yard he shouts out ''Brrrrrrrwow!" It's hilarious.  I'd take a photo of my rooster but he's moulted off all of his tail feathers and might not take kindly to me immortalising his foolishness.

Just found out yesterday for a fact that Cali... err....umm....Calvin well is a rooster.

200x200px-ZC-4af1d23e_cali.batluke018-Copy.jpeg 200x200px-ZC-de5b7b4d_cali.batluke020.jpeg here (s)he is sitting in the nest box on eggs. So anyone can see the confusion here. He started crowing in the last month or so. Funny because he is just as old as Skittles his hatch mate.

A very loving DW, 4 grown kids, 12 grandkids, 6 dogs, and chickens.
