Setting Eggs tonite - due to hatch March 2nd, Anyone want to join in? - Page 4

I locked down this morning.  I removed five that weren't viable.   Twenty-one possible.  I can hardly wait for the first pip.

It is amazing to me how many times I have hatched, and I still get as excited and nervous as ever.

Happy hatching, Everyone!

My first chick hatched last night!!!!!  2 more hatched today, with 2 pips. That leaves 3 left to pip. I am so excited!!  Two that hatched are Speckled Sussex and one is Light Sussex. One of the pips is a Buff Brahma.

I have a small flock of Standard Partridge Cochin rooster, Light Sussex roo, Austra White, Gold Laced Wyandotte, speckeled sussex, mystery breed and Welsummer. A patient husband, 11 year old daughter who is thrilled with my new hobby, a dog, 3 cats and 4 bee hives.

I am looking for Buff or Laced Brahma, Light Sussex, Buff Sussex pullets/hens.

I am so jelous.... None of mine are pipping yet... I went out and got a store bought incubator yesterday. Transferred all of the eggs out of the home-made bator to the new one. I got tired of loosing eggs due to what I can only immagine to be from temperature changes. I went to a local auction on tuesday and bought some Coco Maran eggs. They are in my new bator right now, along with two eggs that I picked up out of cages while there.. Hehe... So hopefully I will get some chicks out of those eggs too. Waiting.......Waiting.........Waiting..........Waiting.........Waiting.......... Wish they all would hatch right now! This being patient stuff is soooooo hard!!

I don't judge others...

And in return appreciate not being judged...

We all make mistakes..

We all try our best to take care of our birds..

One more hatched today! I am now at 5 of 8. I candled the other 3. I saw movement in 2 of them. I am going to leave them alone.....I am going to leave them alone.....I am going to leave them alone!!!

I brought the chicks down stairs just in case the weather turns bad. Am hoping the power stays on thru the storms.
