I think I read somewhere on here that in partridge or blue partridge showgirls or silkies, roosters will have a red coloring on their wings or back? I looked & looked but I can't find the post that I read that said that. If you have heard that that's true please let me know, thank you :)

With Silkies and Showgirls the Partridge variety is the only one that is easy to sex. There is a distinct coloration for males and females. It is true that males have beautiful orange and/or red hackle feathers that make it easy to distinguish from the females.
