Anyone hatch turkeys in a Little giant incubator? Will a LG work for them

Yes it will work.

Not my first choice in incubators. With proper attention it will get the job done.

Turkey eggs seem to hatch pretty well.

We took care of incubating turkey eggs for someone while they were on vacation and that's the incubator they used.  Most of the eggs hatched and the poults did just fine. 

You do need a pretty stable temp in your house for the LG's to work good.  Be sure to run it for a few days and get the temp stable.  The less you play with it the better it will be.  When I used one in the past, I put a dimmer knob from a light switch on the temp adjuster so I could make more accurate adjustments.  Be sure to put it in an interior room where there are no windows like a laundry room or basement.  That way the temp won't have as big of swings.  Keep the water wells full and get a new sponge and cut it into 4 pieces and keep them wet also.  Turkeys need more humidity than chickens.  Be sure to take the temps at the top of the eggs.  You can use some fake eggs while you get the temp right.  Do they have a fan?  If they do then they will work much better keeping the temp stable.

It sounds like you got a good price for them - especially if one has an egg turner.  I've also read that you can put a blanket on (or around) an incubator to help it stay insulated, that might help if your temperature fluctuates a bit in the room.  Just be sure to not block any of the ventilation holes with the blanket.  With no fan (still air incubator), the directions state that your room needs to be between 65-72.  My husband installed a fan in mine - that allows it to work in temperatures between 60-80.  It does state that the temperature needs to be stable, though.

Try putting the LG in a cardboard box that is a bit bigger than the incubator. This helps to keep the tempature more even. Be sure and run it a few days before you plan on setting the eggs ( the LG with the egg turner in it, the turner motor does generate some heat also ). As for increased humididy, using part of an old towel cut into strips and placed in the water wells helps to keep the humidty up ( put them in the water wells and pour the water on top of the towel strips ). When you take the eggs off of the turner, put paper towels on top of the wire under the eggs, this makes clean up a lot easier and faster when the hatch is done. No more picking the little pieces of egg shells out of all the creavices of the incubator, just roll the paper towels up and toss them away. Incubatorwarehouse.com have some thermometers that are egg shaped and will fit in the incubator with the eggs, they will also fit very well in the egg turner tray, the last hatch I did I used one, had a great hatch in the LG incubator with all of the above mentioned tips.

You got a great deal on those incubators. In my area to buy a new LG and an egg turner you would spend about  $110.00 for one set up.

Ive never really had a problem with my LG..

Just be sure to not put it anywhere drafty ...and just so you know... the knob is TOUCHY. Turn it just slightly for temp changes. SLIGHTLY
