Chicken noob & teacher.

Hi all,

I've been using the forums as a source of information for the past couple of months as I've been planning expanding our Baltimore schoolyard garden to include about half a dozen hens.  We're picking up our eggs from a local farmer on Tuesday, and we plan to start our hatch (a dozen eggs - we're going to give any roosters [or extras]) away to locals who want them.

Anyway, great to be on the forums, and we're excited to begin our first ever hatch on Tuesday.

Fantastic, with much of today's young not having a familial connection (family members who own a farm or live in the country) with where their food comes from. You are doing your community a service.may it spread through out the city's schools.
