I am not sure if I told everyone that he had some teeth pulled a few weeks back, but it was his 2 front teeth and a molar.  So he can't say "fifth" correctly which is just danged funny.  Well, today he gets his plate so he will have teeth, and according to him, he can talk again.

Still having trouble getting the kids to come help us.  Ken point blank told them he needs their help.  So far not a one of them has committed to helping and I am about to go postal on all of them.  So instead, Ken's broken brother who is 64 years old and suffers from major asthma and Ken who can't breathe are going to be out back today digging a pond and moving the coop.

Hell, Debi, if I was closer to you guys I'd have come help! Sounds like you can do with someone if only to let you have a little break now and then. What is up with the kids?

I'm praying for a miracle for you guys, if it's God's will...

Good luck with everything hugs.gif

I'm actually doing ok, as long as Ken feels ok, things are pretty normal.  Except for getting yard stuff done.  The coop really needs to be relocated.  We have a lot of birds and they have been in the same spot for 2 years.  All the cleaning in the world can't help that!!!!  So I will see tonight how much 2 broken men can get done on their own.  Ugh.

x2.  I'm between jobs now (short for unemployed, LOL) and would be there in a minute.  Do you have any friends that could help?  Sometimes in our area, community or church groups will help when someone needs a hand.  There's a Hands on Charlotte group locally, and there is a National Hands On organization.  It sounds like a pretty big job for the two of them, if the kids don't help.

I'm glad he had a good day fishing the other day.  Happy for him to be getting his plate, too!  Hope he gets lots more good days like that.

Pond dug, water going in.  BIG berms of dirt too.  Apparently his brother rode his tractor over and they used that.  Smart men.  Tomorrow we are moving the chain link and the hen house and then we are going to attempt to catch them all.  Chickens are easy - ducks are not.

Wow, I didn't see this until now, as I rarely look in this section. So sorry to hear that. Hugs and prayers for you both. My father died of lung cancer when I was 17. He smoked 3 packs a day. He died on Father's Day 1984, after only a month in the hospital. He was 60. The best advice I can offer is this: make the last days/weeks count. Do all the things together that you and he always wanted to (if possible). Do all his favorite things. Try to enjoy the time you have left together. hugs.gif

He has had a good week and seems to be doing great this weekend as well.  We can just pray for more and more good days.
