Today was a good day.  I went to the dentist for the first time in about 15 years and surprisingly, I do not need all my teeth replaced.  Had a good deep cleaning and impressions made while the dentist tries to figure out the best course of action for me.  Cheddar, avocado and mushroom omlette for lunch was just what I needed too.

Ken is pain today.  Night before last, I forgot to the turn the water off and flooded the duck pond which ruined some of the walls, so he and my son fixed it.  When I got home he said:

"you know what a dumb waiter is?

Yes

"You know what a lazy Susan is?"

Yes

"Well, I installed a forgetful Debi".

He put a timer on the water spicket.

Regarding the dentist, you are so lucky!  I go every 6 months and it's always a cavity count, and sometimes an extraction or 2. And that's with a full cleaning and fluoride treatment every 6 months! My teeth are horrible.

Mine always have been too.  You wanna know what changed that?  Seriously, I am not paid for saying this!  LOL!  Colgate Total.  My gums used to bleed daily, I had pain randomly, etc.  I started using that toothpaste and it all went away.  My gums rarely bleed anymore.  Cavity count much less than expected. And the stuff is no more expensive than any other toothpaste.

I know I'm not quite in the same boat as you, but my dad is going through chemo right now and I'm horribly distracted. I'm having a hard time remembering things. I've left hoses on in the yard, listened to voicemails then completely forgotten I'd listened to them, forgot where I was going in the car on errands...I talked to my mom and she's really struggling with it too. I feel like strapping a note pad to my waist! roll.png tongue.png

There is plenty of room in the boat.  You are more than welcome to ride along.  I need one of those recorders that I can record reminders and play it over and over.

Today was OK for Ken and very busy for me.  Breakfast with my mom for her birthday, then Costco, then an oil change, then I got my nails done for the first in just about forever, then grocery shopping.

I'm talking to myself again.  Oh well.  Yesterday was a good day for Ken though he lost his voice; I said it was from talking to much.  Kenny did manage to make it over after we gave them gas money, Sara came and and so did Brandon.  Ken was exhausted, but happy when they all left.  It was good to see everyone and the grandbabies together.  Little Kenny is a bully but Cash gives as good as he gets.  Two 9 month old babies brawling on the living room floor was pretty funny.

For the record, I don't mind talking to myself.  At least online I don't look so stupid.  lau.gif
