I am now the proud owner of Purple egg laying chickens courtesy of Wolftracks.  The two in front are from the purple eggs.  Quite sure the one on the right is a roo.  Can't wait to see what the brown looks like when she feathers out.  Thanks Wolftracks!

Darn I was hoping you'd get different colors in the urple eggers. I have black, blue and lavender hatched out for this gen.

That little brown one must have come from a pinkish egg??? Looks like a SPPR.

BTW I had a horrible hatch. Even lost a lot of my own flocks eggs. I didn't get anything from the shipped eggs at all.

But todays hatch I had 1 pip and 2 chicks, so They'll be company to the 6 I hatched for the Easter hatch.

That egg should have been marked. Oh maybe it was one of the ones in the glass box. I think I just let you know what they were and didn't mark them. Bred back to the others you should be able to get some more purple layers next year. I haven't bred any of them to mine, but if I had more of them I would.

Love the chick in the middle.

And, I just find those little bare necks adorable!

The difference between breakfast and chicks, is the temperature you use to "cook" the eggs!

What breeds do I have?  More than any sane person would own.
