These chicks are all so cute, ours have scraggly feathers.  To me they look pitiful getting in their feathers.

Oh believe me. Mine are much into that scraggly phase too... This has been a rough week. They look like they stuck a toe into a light socket while standing in a puddle.

It gets better. :) If I remember right, mine are a week (or two?) ahead of yours (mine are almost 6 weeks) and just this morning I looked at them and realized they had all of a sudden turned into mini chickens on me. My husband has started to call them turkeys because they are so much bigger than the other babies. :)

Mama to a whole bunch of birds. An unknown # of chicks, 10 EE, 1 RIR, 1 BR, 2 SLW, 3 silkies, 1 Cuckoo Maran, 2 blue cochin, 4 turkens, 2 doms, 6 barnyard babies, 4? black broiler sweeties I can't eat, and 3 embden geese. (36 chickens, 3 geese)

Funny, but we recently moved from PA to MO and ultimately, hubby moved before us and got to pick the house.  However, the house I fell in love with when we were here looking for houses, had lovely acreage, wonderful pastures, and a fantastic barn.  The house was terrible, full of moisture and cigarette smoke, and needed to be gutted.  I did not care about how bad the house was, but hubby did, lol!!  Your chickens are wonderful!!  I am glad you are getting replacements!!   I did get my acreage, a beautiful house, and he bought me a new smaller barn, and he is building a chicken coop for me!!  I guess I did okay :).
