Lurker no more.

Thread Starter

Greetings from South Texas.

I've been lurking on this forum for the last couple of weeks since I decided to go forward with my "lil farm" plans.  My fiance told me a while back that she had always wanted to experience farm life, so I decided to start the easy way, with a garden and a few chickens.  Of course, I knew that chickens laid eggs and had feathers, and that's about it.  So I stumbled into here several times on google searches and quickly (and wisely) bookmarked BYC and started coming here first for answers.  Now my coop and run are built, my 2 hens and 1 rooster are happy, (first egg 2 days ago on the ground, with another yesterday in the nesting box), and the fiance is delighted with the new atmosphere and productive pets.  So I'd like to throw out a big Howdy to the BYC regulars that have unknowingly answered many many questions for me, simply by sharing their experience in this forum, and express my thanks to BYC for keeping such a useful and organized tool for us to share in.

Cheers frow.gif

It is generally agreed that "Hello" is an appropriate greeting because if you entered a room and said "Goodbye," it could confuse a lot of people.

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?
