Day 24- not sure when to call it quits

How many of you have had an egg hatch on Day 24 or later?

One egg hatched on Day 22

We're halfway through Day 24.

No noise, no pips, even with the encouragement from the hatchling, which we've taken out of the incubator.

We're  candled a few minutes, and saw two eggs that looked like they had air sacs at both ends, so

we opened them. One contained an inch long rotting embryo, and the other a fully developed chick with it's neck turned  tightly over it's shoulder- it was dead.hit.gif

Day 25 is the magic day for me if I am uncertain.  Usually though for me everything starts hatching on day 21 and is done by day 23.  If I candle after that and think something still looks good I will wait till the 25th day.

Congrats on the one hatch!  Sorry about the others, how many did you incubate?  Were they shipped or did you by local?  I have not had much luck with shipped, scrambled for the most part before I even get them.
