Thank you.  Today was round one of hatching and we've got quite a few.  Momma won't let me in there to count though.  We'll just wait and see.  pop.gif

I just had a big surprise! Tonight is day 18 for a set of 11 eggs. Last chance to candle before locking down tomorrow morning. Egg #10 is already pipped! I could see the beak moving at the hole in the egg! wee.gifI did have to discard one egg. In checking it, it had been fertile but somewhere in the first week had quit developing. It looks like the rest of the 10 are good to go. Hope this early start goes well. I know some hatchings can take 2 days or so, so hopefully this little fella will be OK fl.gif.  Now I just need to leave the lid alone to the incubator!!

I have a bator with 36 eggs that are due to hatch today! One little egg pipped yesterday afternoon and was chiriping away all night. Eventually I heard another one chime in but when I left for work this morning the two were still just pipped. It just kills me not being there!!! Thank goodness the kids will be home soon to give me a full report. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all is well. We have two bators and this is the first time I've ever used the LG...

Thank you for posting the pictures.  I printed out the calender, and saved the candled egg pic on my computer.  I plan to use them to help my niece be educated on candling eggs and incubating eggs.
I'm incubating some right now, and then this summer I'm going to let my niece incubate some (let her be responsible for marking when the eggs were turned, and what day of the incubation we're on).

Awww idunno.gifso sad. Hopefully the rest will make it. I've 2 Cochin mix hatched this morning. smile.png 2 more are pipped. So far don't see any activity on the other eggs. I did see movement in my 2 Silky eggs last time I candled (on day 18) so I'm hoping mine make it.
