frow.gifHii again to everyone!!! Sorry I haven't been in touch but I was so worried that I would jinx my babies jumpy.gifWell like I had said before I had heat issues with my Dominiques and that they were all clear. So I hatched nothing there.

But my broody Dark Cornish did hatch 4 out of 6 Icelandics. The last one to hatch is still a little weak as I write this but my fingers are crossed that it makes it through the night.

celebrate.gifThe baby did make it through the night!celebrate.gif

I'm so happy!!!

I guess 4 out of 6 isn't bad.

Now the hard part, are they boys or girls?

My hubby says they are all girls.fl.gif

Anyone know how to sex chicks?

I'll try to post pictures later.

I am new to this too, so I dont have much to offer, but I thought you couldnt tell (unless they were breed for it like Isa Browns) the difference until one starts to crow!   Boy I hope I am wrong, it would be great to know the difference right away!   Congrats on the little one making it!   I have 2 more days to go!!  fl.gif

Thanks Soap Junkie!

I also have Barnevelders in the incubator. It should be any minute for them.

The only bad part about Icelandics is it seems to be 65% boys to 35% girls.

I don't need that many roos!

I hope my husband is right with his wishful thinking.
