Of course, when I was in school, it was REAL food.

Homemade lasagna, vegetable soup that was the bomb!

No preprocessed food.  Homemade yeast rolls. YUM!

My friend teaches, if the children don't have all their money,

they can get one vegetable and a roll.  Usually the veggies are

french fries!  Or they can get french fries and macaroni and cheese.

Well balanced, right?

I live a few counties over from where this incident occurred, made the top of all the local TV news chanel line ups. The grandmother was quite upset at the fact her grandaughter was put in a position by 'an adult authority figure' to eat the school lunch the FDA inspector insisted she be served in addition to her lunch from home.  The little girl was so upset/scared that her grandmother reported she only ate one of the nuggets because she was afraid not to, and was too scared to eat her lunch from home, so the end result was she didn't get anything nutritious to eat from this ordeal!

EE's -Diamond, Cracker, Noisy, Pluto & Penny our mean Rooster who's waiting on a new home- Goldie & Buffy who I think are a Rhode Island Red and a Leghorn were re-homed last weekend.  We have 9 new chicks that hatched this weekend, w/another 12 set  for next weekend- no idea who's daddy is who for them!
