Watch dogs?  you mean WORKING group?  I think a doberman won that.

As far as poodles, they used to be a working breed...

I believe one of WatchDogs dogs got an Award of Merit, but didn't bring home the big ribbons.    :)

I know!    I get thrilled when people compliment my boys on the street.  I can't imagine getting an invitation to the big show!

A friend from grade school had a crested there.  Indi got an AOM as well.   My friend is over the moon!

You can watch each breed judging on the Westminster web site.

I have shown there twice. It is great fun, but really crowded.

The Pyrenees came from the same breeder my two girls did. smile.png But I knew another breed would win. It seems the big white fluffy dogs never really stand out to the judges.

What I don't understand is why people now want miniature dogs from the Toy breeds. And they pay lots of money for them too. Why? If you want something the size of a guinea pig then get a guinea pig. Something that size has to have all sorts of health issues. And a 2 lb. Yorkie would be at best a squeaky toy for my 15 lb Ragdoll cat.

I always believed when it came to dogs the bigger the better. Then I got a Cavalier, there is something nice about a dog you can pick up without hurting your back.

Forgive your enemies -- it messes with their heads.

LOL! My sentiments exactly. A dog should be a DAWG, fer cryin out loud. I hate those little yappy ankle-nippers. No, I don't hate them personally, it's not their fault that some stoopid human messed with genetics and made those breeds. But let's give more consideration to dogs that actually look like dogs. I would have loved to see the Doberman or the German shepherd win BOS.
