Why bother asking what she is?  They may not even know.  Simply buy a rooster from them. idunno.gif

All the ones they had were killed by dogs. We rescued and saved her, badly injured. As explained, they are NOT friendly, approachable people. We have good reason to believe she IS of an actual pure breed, and likely a breed less common and in some demand, becasue of those people's history as my daugher had observed over time. The wife seems to have a constant repeat effort to raise various kinds of small birds that she seems to sell somewhere, but not from their home. Suspect some outlet within the immigrant community...many hispanics/latinoes are very big on birds of all kinds, from chickens to parrots. There's been at various times cockatiels, love birds, fancy pheasants, just that my daughter has seen...can see onto their property from her backyard, across several other properties. But it seems they have some 'stupid determination' NOT to put a decent dog-proof fence about their cage/pen areas for those birds, and all her 'projects' seem to end this very same way...dogs tear in, sometimes even their own dogs that get out of their pens or off their chains, release and'or kill them all. Other than that, they have been ok neighbors, they stay to themselves, aren't freindly, but don't give neighbors any real problems.
