Oh gosh! Does this mean I reaaaaallly should candle again?!?! Awww shucks, guess I'll have to candle just one more time. lau.gif

I'll have to do that later. Got some strawberries at the store today and my kids are crying for homemade jam. You know, the jelly I made during the summer just wasn't the same. Everyone likes the jam! Picky-picky!

I'll chime in again after I've candled my 6 polish and 3 wyandotte eggs :) pop.gif

Well, we candled last night and we lost one Polish egg. hit.gif

All others looked good. One was so active while we were candling, looked like it was doing the jitter-bug! Awesome.

I hope everyone elses eggs are doing ok. fl.gif

I can't wait for these guys to hatch out! I'm going to start collecting my own eggs to incubate as soon as these babies are in the brooder. I can't wait to see what mixes I get when mine hatch ya.gifyippiechickie.gif

I think I have about 42 eggs left for this hatch. The 3 OEs I got from BHep are really my only green ones, so it's TERRIFIC that they all look like they're developing. (difficult to tell with these dark eggs)

Shall we add a contest??? How about I give you a 6 month GFM for the best IRISH and CHICKEN inspired limerick, poem, or song lyrics??? Open to anyone, you don't have to be a part of this hatch along.

Golden Feather Membership 6 month You can add it to your account or gift it to a friend..... come on... you know you want to try!

ps: sorry, farmerChef, I hope you don't mind.... big_smile.png

Fine with me! I have another one,

Worst Green Egg Hatch Rate:
Rules: must post a picture of all green/olive eggs in one picture before Friday March 16th, at 3pm EST on this thread. Must have at least 6 eggs to compete. Chick picture must be posted by Monday March 19th at 8pm EST, all chicks must be visible/easy to count. Picture can only be of chicks that hatched from green/olive eggs. I suggest making a cage for each breed so you know who's who when they hatch, I like to use them when I don't know what chicks will looks like or if I know chicks will look the same that are different breeds. I make mine out of hardware cloth, the bottom is open and it tall enough they can't knock it over.

Winner willl get 10+ Green eggs from me, so they can hopefully hatch some green eggers. big_smile.png
