Bleenie's Eggs are pipping, and 1 dead duckling :-(

Well yesterday was day 35.  I just went out to check the nest since Bleenie had come off of it for a drink, found one dead duckling under all of the eggs and 3 eggs pipped. One of the pipped eggs has an adorable duckling bill sticking out of it. I'm SO tempted to start up the bator in case there are any problems but my Husband is holding me back. He wants to see these babies hatch under Mamma Bleenie. I'm a nervous wreck!

Sorry Ladies, for some reason BYC is not sending me notifications that I had replies to read.  Well this morning we have 2 beautiful Scovie Ducklings under Bleenie!!!   I opened the hatch on the nesting box and gave her some loving, she stood up and let me touch the babies...adorable little boogers were trying to scoot further under Mamma LOL One for sure is pure white at this point. I didn't check the other eggs yet, didn't want to stress the babies out and it's quite cold this morning so I'll wait until it warms up out there then check again.  Bleenie is a year old this month and this was her second batch of eggs but first actual hatching. Her first batch she sat on for 41 days and nothing hatched. I'm SO proud of my Bleenie girl!!!

We have 3 ducklings so far, number 4 is about 1/3 hatched at this point.  Bleenie is such a darling, she lets me touch the ducklings and pick them up and of course she still checks my hand to see if there are any treats (cat food) in it LOL   Once I figure out where we upload our pics I'll show one...the site has changed up since I last uploaded photos
