funny chicken names! - Page 2

Breakfast, lunch , dinner and snack. My kids advise to never name a chick Poachy. We lost one chick named Poachy, named another one Poachy-and this one died too.

We've only named a couple of our chickens.  My two roosters are named Andy and Barney (from the Andy Griffith show).  Andy is a big bird, and he knows he's in control.  Barney is a bantam who only thinks he's big, and sometimes thinks he's in control.  Andy, and even a few of the hens, put him back in place as needed.  We have a Buff Orpington who is a little scatterbrained.  She will wander off by herself for a while, and when she realizes she's alone, she runs squawking and flapping across the yard to get back to the other birds.  Her name is Blondie.

I have a long- standing belief that all chickens are Grandmothers that have been reincarnated... So mine are named Agnes and Josephine after my two grannies!

We have marilyn . Lulu. Naked butt (I got her from a large flock that picked her feathers out)
Crimson and clover. curly sue (her toes are curled) noname. And 7 chicks lol

I've had chickens named Penny, Peeps, Checkers (Barred Plymouth Rock), Stripes (Barred Plymouth Rock), Sun (short for Sunny Side Up-Buff Orpington), Summer, Oreo (Barred Plymouth Rock) & Pox.
