l.blue bamboo.jpgI have three.  Pale Sussex, Blue Leghorn and Welsummer.  They are all very different, can't say I have a favourite.  From what I've seen and read here, I'd love to have a Silkie, too.minx bamboo.jpgprincess, c.up.jpg

One Light Sussex, one Light Brown Leghorn.  Not yet laying... must do soon, though.

You have a blue leghorn??  Oh, I love the leghorn, No matter what anyone says, mine have always been great birds.  I have to keep my flock small because of where I live, but on man, they lay great.  I got a brown girl go to get the different in, and I now have some Exchequer's in a bator.  I'm excited.  Didn't get many eggs because they are rare I guess, but I have 5 that are looking good.  Pleeeze, at least one of those be a girl!  I also have a Welsummer.  she is pretty, and lays the prettiest egg.  Now, is this last picture your pale Sussex?  Very pretty birds!

They are young still and not laying yet. although I expect an egg any day now.  I've read that the Leghorn's are teriffic layers.  Lady Blue, my Leghorn is certainly bossy, and takes control of the other two, she's the bravest, and the one responsible for going over the fence (where a dog lives!). Yes the last picture is of Princess, my Light Sussex, she's a sweetheart.  Good luck with the eggs - may they ALL be girls !
