Stubborn broody serama, how many chicks?

My broody serama won't give it up, we don't even have a rooster, and now shes sitting on a superball since I took the eggs from her.

The feedstore sells chicks, but only the LF are sexed, shes not a tiny tiny serama, do you think she could handle 2 or 3 LF day olds?

I think so! If you buy the chicks, you ahve to put them with her at night, so this way she'll accept them!

Thanks, night is the best time, as long as she can handle LF.

OH, you have to pay attention if the chicks will accept the new mom!

I never thought about the acceptance thing being a two way street. Interesting.

I'm an old coot, but happy just the same.

Chicks adopt the first big thing it sees at its mom, so I guess it would be better with newborn chicks...
