Yep I know. I used a cuckoo bred to a lemon blue ee ( blue egg)
And got a blue cuckoo hen. I bred her to a blue wheaton marans I had and the chicks were solid colors for pullets and crele for the cockerels. So I want to take the pullets I got from that first oe and breed them to a golden cuckoo with hopes they carry the crele gene their brothers had.
If not I know how to breed to get them now. So that is my plain for golden cuckoos or any cuckoo.
Aww that explains where the BR gene came from, the Wheaten has it.
You could skip the first step & just go Wheaten to Cuckoo & get the same result (I think)
For Crele, we use a Partridge X Barred cross.
For Golden Cuckoo you just need a BR x Barred.
You could get the same with Rocks, such as PBR X Buff = Lemon Barrs, a pretty cool coloration.
