You have to get this perfectly level for the water to work and then sometime it still leaks. You have to monkey around with for it to work. The handle is welded cheaply and busted off...

Leghorns are great egg laying chickens. They are friendly to other Leghorns and can easily fly. The only problems is that they are bad in the pecking order and they can make a mess of the yard....

seem like a good breed, if i had the room i would probably raise a batch of them they seem like they would be a good 4h starter show bird...considering i dont see many of this breed in my class...

You are building the coop of my dreams!

No really I have dreams about building cities of coops.

Proud Momma of 5 wonderful children. Support from the greatest husband at my side. Kept company by a Great Dane, Mastiff and a Dane/Lab/Shepherd mix. Pest control from 2 cats, Pigs now in the freezer. Turkeys didn't make it past the Hollidays. Many breakfasts and lots of laughs and great times provided by over 30 adult LF chickens of many breeds! Now on our adventure to buy a new Farm.

Another great thing about the revised plan is you could separate the 8x 8's into 4x8s if you want to havve more breeds in the future and that would still be roomy enough for a decent number of birds in each smaller area.

Yes I could work on designing coops most of my time.... I love doing it.

I don't judge others...

I'm pretty much that way also, Berney. You would think that by now, as long as there have been chickens around, the perfect plan would have already been drawn.
