Looking for plans

Thread Starter
I am looking for plans for a medium to large coop with or without running area.
Anyone know of a good source? Free or $$$$ plans, don't matter... I prefer paying for the plans as you usually get better ones.
Thanks a lot.

Look for shed plans then convert it to best suit your needs (number of birds, type of birds and climate)

here are quite a few from amazon

Black and Decker has a fab. book called "the complete guide to contemporary sheds" pretty much all of them make great coops as well. Contains the plans as well and material list. i think the Clerestory Studio(10x10 ft) would make a awesome coop.http://www.blackanddeckerbooks.com/description.asp?isbn=1589233352&subtopic=1

I'm about to build this coop. Very simple but good. You could make it bigger if you want.

http://www.sunnysideupcoops.com/DIY-CHICKEN-Info.html Here are a few books that have some great chicken coop plans. We used the DIY Chicken coop plan book to get started. It was easy and although we have made a few modifications it is a good place to start.

Best of luck with your chickens. jumpy.gif you're going to love them!

Personally, I prefer the "What do I have available, let's make it out of that!" theory of planning. It's amazing what you can do with some scrap lumber and a few pallets. smile.png

When evaluating data one should always consider the source and remember, no one wants to make illegal that which he wants to do.
