One of my ducklings seems to have some sort of handicap or condition. It is about 3.5 weeks old. From the very beginning it has been falling over a lot, onto its back. Sometimes it can run many feet before falling over; other times hardly any distance at all. When it does fall over, it kicks its legs vigorously and eventually turns over. It expends a lot of energy doing this, but it has been very vigorous its entire life. I have been feeding with DuMore duck crumbles (for all stages of life), and it has been eating lots of green peas. I have also been adding amoxicillin clavulinate to the water, as well as salt, baking soda, and sugar (along with fresh water as well). There has been essentially no discernable change in this duckling. I can find virtually no information on 'wry-neck'; nothing beyond it's a condition. Anything contagious I assume would have infected all the others by now, or killed this duckling, but the others appear unaffected. I hate to think it will spend its entire life this way, but since it seems otherwise perfectly happy, I'm certainly not going to 'euthanize' it. On the other hand, I don't have a hundred dollars for a vet visit either. Do you have any experience with symptoms of this sort and what the likely prgnosis is?
Kindly,
Chris
