Just set my first hatch ever!!!! (Feb 19) Anyone else set today?

Today at 4:26 pm (PST), I set my first ever hatch of eggs in my LG 9200 incubator (with a fan kit and egg turner)!

Anyone else set eggs today?  I'd love to have a hatching buddy.  :D

I bought a mixed dozen from a lady on Craigslist.com.  I know there are some Wyandotte eggs, EE eggs, possibly some Cochin eggs, and who knows what else.  I reeeeally hope this hatch goes well.  I'm nervous I'll mess it up somehow (even though they're on a turner).  LOL.

This is going to be a long three weeks!

Currently on the warpath to hunt down whichever "upstanding citizen" stole my last 10 chicks out of their coop at 10 weeks old.  Be afraid.

I set 17 BBS Ameraucana eggs around 4:30pm last Friday too.  I haven't hatched anything since I was much younger when my Dad & I raised quail.  So really, I'm kind of a first timer as well.  I don't think I would be doing this if it weren't for BYC and family to help guide me through it.

Will be nice to have support of someone else expecting the same day.   thumbsup.gif

So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.  God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth." Gen 1:21-22

I put my first ever eggs in my new to me GQF 1502 incubator at 1:26 Central time.  This is the first time I have ever hatched eggs and am really excited.  I put 12 Jersey Black Giants and 21 mix of black sex links and red sex links.

I will follow your hatch to see how you do even though the Ducks beat my Badgers!

We will get to see your photos first, justin24.  That should make the last few days more exciting for us.  What are you hatching?

Isn't it funny that we have posted the time we put the eggs in the bator as if those chicks have a watch on?  It reminds me of how I tried to plan out my children's birthday.  lau.gif

BTW I am central time also.

LOL!  I actually hate the Ducks.  I'm a Beaver fan (but, I'm the only one in my family), so, I guess we can get along. wink.png
