Second looks like a lop with a bad ear set.

The first is a MIni Rex. The second? Well, it could be part Holland Lop, part Netherland Dwarf. I have seen pure Hollands with bad ears before, but they hardly ever have that much ear control.

Yeah the fur on the first one does feel like velvet.  Thank you for the information.  I am interested in starting to breed rabbits but dont want to do it the wrong way.  My feeling is that if i were to start with the rabbits i have, i would want to breed the rex and not the other.  When purchasing a rabbit, what should i be looking for?
