lol I ordered 25 meaties from them last year and was suppose to get a rare chick. The box said I got it but it wasn't in there. When I called about it they said next time I order that they would send two rare chicks, but I haven't ordered again.

I suspect the chicks can't be too rare if they are sending them out, like the prize in the Cracker Jacks box, to everyone who orders birds.

Welcome to our forum.  I haven't ordered from them. I don't think they are too rare of breed, but from what I have heard it is usually male.  I would do it if I ever ordered from them, I love surprises.

Hi and welcome to BYC from northern Michigan frow.gif

Home of the world's cutest dachshund, one crazy blue heeler, two cats,
one fat pony, and many (but not too many!) chickens

Can anyone tell me, how many are too many chickens?

Yep their "rare" chicks are just extras. I usually get Easter Egger cockerels (what they call Araucanas, but are actually just mutts. Nothing rare.) And I once got a Turken cockerel. Again, not that rare considering their Turkens are just naked necked mutts. True Turkens are rare, but not theirs.

It seems the favorite "rare and exotic" freebie chick is usually an EE rooster. My Dad lucked out and his EE is a hen who lays nice green eggs.
