Texas Auctions/Swaps?

I've been searching online for auctions or swaps down around College Station/Bryan Texas and I haven't been having any luck. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places or not digging deep enough, but I just can't find anything like the ones they have in Gardner, KS or Fordland, MO.

Any Texans have more "in-the-know" about some upcoming swaps or auctions near the area? Prefer it to be within a 2 hours' drive radius.

meee tooo!!! What is going on that there is nothing "chickeny" happening in Texas?? no Auctions,swaps,shows, REALLY? In TEXAS?rant.gif

I showed back in the early '80s and would like to get back in. Any clubs or shows out there? I was in a club in Henderson, that is no longer, but we showed in Paris, the State Fair in Dallas, Cleburne, and South Tx State Fair in Beaumont, Louisiana State Fair in Shreveport and a few other places I can't remember. Do the big fairs have open shows and if so where can we get info?

well i was on the south texas fair site for the one in beaumont this morning they do have a show there a friend of mine Ernie is showing there this  year...that is the only one i know of...but I mean there are no markets? Auctions, swaps,poultry shows here? at least auctions?? SOMETHING

OHHHHHHHHH That is a great idea!!are we gonna GO somewhere,like a Meet? or do it from here like other swaps?

Speak up if you would be interested and we can try to organize it with the staff here...Once they ok it I don't see why we can't...I don't know what the protocol is but I bet we can find out!!

There is a Trade Day in Giddings on April the 12th. This is put on by the Brazos Vallley Poultry Club.

If you to the Website -  http://www.bluebonnetclassic.com/  and then go to the Events page you can see more infomation about it.

You will also find infomation about other events in Texas

 

Just an FYI - there are about 12 poultry shows in Texas with teh Bluebonnet Classic in College Station being the largest

In March there are poultry shows in La Grange (3rd) New Braunfels ( 10th) and Beaumont (24th)

I'm totally down for this, but I don't currently have any chickens. I'm just now moving to Texas and looking to get back into it since I had to sell all of my stock for college. With that in mind, I'd rather get adult fowl right now. :-/
