What breed could this be........

I have a 2 year old hen that I can't seem to figure out what she might be due to her comb type.  She lays a nice large brown egg and has a much heavier frame than my RIR hen of the same age.

Any guesses?

what kind of comb?  Is it a rose comb? or a single at an odd angle?

silkies and (projects), sumatras, lakenvelders, frizzles, polish and (projects), sultans, buff orps, black sexlinks, turkeys, red golden pheasents, Peepers, dogs, cats, fish, horses, wild kids, and one very understanding DH, come on over for a visit to the crazy farm

I think it's a BLR Wyandotte cross too. I own BLR Wyandottes, but that looks like a cross. Very pretty though

ramirezframing;     I was thinking she was more rose comb than pea or single comb.  Her feathers are the same in texture as my RIR but she has the same build as my black australorps.

smarsh & littlecreekfarm;  Thanks for the info as I'm fairly new to this and I haven't seen any BLR Wyandottes in person to judge from.  My son got her from a small breeder near Chattanooga and thought he was getting a RIR chick but obviously not.

Proudnewchickenmommy86;   I was leaning toward a cross with an Black Australorp due to size but she has little else in common with them.

To all thanks for your help!

With a rose comb and the blue tail and what looks like lacing on the wing, I'd agree with the blrw cross. It was my first thought but I wasn't sure what the comb was.

I have the same problem, I have one that looks similar to that one. but just a hint of black on the tail feathers and inner winphone 058.jpgg. Mine looks like the Buff orpington.

She looks like a BLRW crossed with a bit of RIR to me.
