Is my new itty bitty baby a girl ? please please please.fl.gif

12ish weeks old.

Silkie pekin mix.

No red comb yet.

Still tiny.

Quite docile, but chirpy.

It follows me around, if i go out of it sight, it panics and chirps for me.

I have had a roo previously who was more curious and would go off on it own to look around, even from the day I got it home, so I'm hoping this one is a girl.

Now I know you can't just tell gender by behavior, but I'm just trying to give all the info I can. Only had it for 2 days now.

Oh I really hope its a pullet!

I swapped my little sizzle roo for it back at the farm i got him from, and he is going to be used in their petting farm because he was so lovely and super soft!

He just found his big boy voice -  crowing. I live residential with totally surrounding neighbors and just couldn't keep him.

I don't want to have to get rid of this little one!!!

NO ways thats a cockeral. Eggs!

I have five hens and two pullets- one seven year old red star, Luna, one white leghorn, Sage, one SLW, Pepper, one adorable fluffy EE, Bedazzle, and one black star, Buckbeak. My two pullets are Nutella, my wheaten marans, thirty five weeks, (who is yet to lay an egg!), and her best friend, Sammy, seventeen weeks.

pullet all the way if you go and look in my albums (i think its the one titled my chickens) you will see my d'uccle x silkie mixes they look very similar to her but you can deffently tell cockerel from a pullet, since she isnt a full silkie its a lot easier to tell the sex of the little ones.

She's beautiful! And a girl smile.png

By 12 weeks old. there would be very obvious signs that you have a roo.
