I think the holes are 3/16 inch wide.

In the beginning there was nothing. God said, Let there be light! And there was light. There was still nothing, but you could see it a whole lot better. Ellen DeGeneres
also//////// Y'all also need to check out my homemade cooler incubator, my homemade fridge-a-bator, and my cabinet incubator on my BYC page.

Here is the page that shows my fridge incubator, it also has a video. In the video I was using a Water Heater thermostat, but changed to a wafer thermostat.

The white egg holders are the egg turners. They stay in the incubator to turn the eggs 18 days. Then on day 18, I take them out of the egg turner, and place them in the wooden hatching trays. That you seen in my cabinet incubator photos.

In my fridge incubator, I never hatched in it, (only incubated) but the 2 wire shelves were for hatching, that's why they had the front raised so when the chicks hatched in the fridge incubator they couldn't fall out.

The egg turners can be bought at most feed stores, and can be found on Ebay, and craigslist.

P.M. me with pictures and more questions regarding your fridge incubator.

As for the beer, sickbyc.gif And as for the BBQ droolin.gif

Too bad I live in OK.

LOL...I agree, beer:  sickbyc.gif....but was offered up in case it would help to have someone come build the incubator for me.  I make a mean margarita though. Winery around the corner from my house...course we also can do a nice jug of ice tea or lemonade too....whatever your fancy.

BBQ.....We have a traeger and it makes killer oysters, steaks, hot dogs...whatever your poison....does this help you come for a visit from OK?

Awesome, I would love to help as you go. I would enjoy helping you to make a wonderful incubator.

Thanks quintinp, I built a small incubator out of an old beer cooler I had and a bunch of stuff I found in my basement. I even had an old hot water heater to rip apart, all said I spent $9.99 plus tax for a electronic thermo/hygrometer and that was it. Unfortunately I read this post after I put an egg in it so I will modify it for my next hatch. I have an old fridge in my garage that is just screaming to be turned in to an incubator. I think I would even consider springing a few extra bucks and going with a digital thermostat for that, we shall see.
