But, and not to be a negative Nellie, :oops: if you're looking for anything other than pet quality (PQ), better to order from a breeder who will selectively reproduce more SOP birds instead of mass quantities. Here's my Cackle Hatchery Speckled Sussex . (With a little BR fluff butt behind her!)

All I need are good natured, prefer ably friendly birds, with nice & consist production. Looks are a plus but don't have to be to standard.

It depends what you want to do with them - that said, hatcheries should have some responsibility for preserving breed lines, not just mass producing substandard chicks. I also have this little hatchery beauty. Once I saw her grow out, I promised not to use the big commercial hatcheries again.
