How often do you change the diaper? You must have to do it every 10 minutes or so as they poop so much!

What about the night time?  Does the duck still wear a diaper?

I would not want to be changing a diaper approx 840 times a week for up to 20 years!

Also they must cost a lot over time.

Thank you BeckyBird & PnC!

Jak,I only have to change her maybe every couple hours, more depending how much she eats. When she sleeps on the bed at night, she wears her overnight diaper that holds more & she is good for the whole night. I just take away her food & water & change her right before bed. She has an indoor house & when she is in there, she doesnt wear a diaper. During the day if she's in her house she gets to sleep on the bed at night. If she's out all day,she sleeps in her house.
It's really not too often she needs changing & it takes just a second. As for cost,I go to the Dollar Store & buy a pack of maxi pads. There's about 40 in the biggest pack & I cut them in half. If she's out running errands with me,I put a pad in the harness & I fold a few paper towels in half. To change it I just unhook, take out the top towel & toss it. Most times the rest are dry. If we're at the house I just use paper towels folded & save the pads for outings. Costs a buck & lasts almost 2 months, depending on how often we go out.
Even if it was more often though, it'd be worth it to me. The laughs I get from her personality alone are worth it. smile.png

Scovy Mama, would you be willing to share your pattern or the directions? Those "jeans" are cute, I need to make diapers for my duck, have lots of fabric, can sew a seam, but have no money (otherwise I'd buy a pair)

One chicken. One duck. I think I need more.

They look like baby pants heh I have tons of those from the boys but no girly ones to put on Soleil. I guess sewing patches on it could make it more for a girl hah

Thanks! These are so easy to make. I'm not the greatest @ sewing but I did go find baby pants & cut & sew to fit over the bra diapers I make!
