seem like a good breed, if i had the room i would probably raise a batch of them they seem like they would be a good 4h starter show bird...considering i dont see many of this breed in my class...

I have a 3wk old silkie chick w/ wry neck-water on the brain. I have been giving polyvisol for 5 days with vit.E twice daily.

This chick can eat food/water if I hold him-otherwise neck goes to the ground & he goes backwards. Any encouraging words? how long will it take to cure & will he really get better? I also feed him every 2 hrs. I am devasted by this-please help.

& from Alabama. Glad you joined us. I had a duckling with wry neck once, so I know how worrying it can be. But it sounds like you're doing everything you can treating it; just make sure the poly-vi-sol is without iron. The link that 1muttsfan provided has a lot of great info. Lots of good luck with your chick
