I have 3 pullets, I'm keeping one wheaten and one blue wheaten, so the extra wheaten is guna end up as dinner in a few months, if they make descent meat? if not i'll just swap him for another breed. So question is, has anyone here eaten ameraucana lately?

They really aren't very meaty.  Sell him for two dollars at the nearest swap.

I got one who is screaming to go in the crock pot.  No swaps around here so time will give me an answer.

big red is right lol, there is no difference in taste as for size they are bigger than some and smaller than others. might find it hard to trade for a silkie but give it a go!

Shoot. I wanted one of those years ago. He didn't have any to sell. Now I just have one old black hen. Did you advertize the rooster with a pic on this site in for sale?

Yes I did post him there! He'll be dinner a few months up the road once he's frying size big_smile.png if no one gets him!

A local breeder bought 25 day-old chicks from John B. last spring, their first hatch was in late Janurary,

and i acquired 6 of the chicks! smile.png

I ended up getting 2 wheaten cockerels, 1 blue wheaten cockerel! 2 wheaten pullets, and 1 blue wheaten pullet!

I'll keep the others to breed myself, but i don't need 2 wheaten roos, thats 1 too many, so one is going in my belly ! lau.gif
