RIR or ???
This bird is one I own. Her legs are a gorgeous yellow. Sadly, my camera is a cheapo and didn't render that correctly. Even she is merely a hatchery grade RIR.
I will post a photo of true RIR, but if you search here on BYC for the Heritage Rhode Island Red thread, started by Robert Blosi, you will see RIR that will knock your socks off. Deep mahogany color.

This is the thread for what a true RIR looks like. Stunning. Your birds are a golden sex link, perhaps a Red rooster of some kind, over a silver hen produces birds such as yours. Great layers, wonderful personalities. The person who told you they were RIR wasn't even close.
