Hi Knight1992,

I think if you're feeding 24% protein that should be enough to add weight if he's not suffering some underlying disease.

It could be worthwhile finding a good probiotic supplement and feeding that along with the main diet. Yoghurt won't hurt, but you might be better off finding a proper animal-based probiotic powder or making kefir. Probiotics can sometimes assist digestion if there's an overgrowth of bad bacteria causing gut damage and/or malabsorption of nutrients.

Unfortunately if he has an underlying systemic disease, he might not put weight on no matter what. Let's hope he doesn't have anything nasty.

Good luck with your rooster, it sounds like you're trying everything.

Cheers

Erica

Get his B12 Deficiency under control and he should start gaining weight again.

B12's is to control metabolism of nucleic acids, proteins, carbohydrate and fat. With a deficiency in B12 the results is reduced weight gain and feed intake, along with poor feathering and nervous disorders.

If I were you I would not only give the liquid B12 but also offer some small chunks of Raw Liver. A chunk of Liver about the size of a quarter ever other day should be good.
