Thoughts on eFowl. - Page 5

Knowing little of breeds, standards and hatcheries, I ordered 15 SLW straight run, in Feb. I received 16 in March. They were very good about informing me when they were coming. I wasn't able to get to post office until early afternoon the day they arrived. There were 16 chicks, one an obvious cull, bad leg. It died overnight. Another died a few days later. 14 are doing great, 6 hens, 8 roos. About what I expected, and I'm fine with that, as I wanted eggs and meat, I only planned to keep six hens and one rooster.
Are they show birds? No. Are they healthy and meet my needs? So far, yes. Time will tell when they mature.
I have no idea what hatchery they are from. I believe the zip was Missouri.

Overall, I am very satisfied with eFowl.

My order arrived on May 11th. They were all healthy and are growing fast. My only complaint is a part of my order was not shipped due to a "short hatch". I would have been given the option of a refund or to wait for the entire order. The refund came quickly.

I think it's great how they don't charge shipping when you place an order. How can they make a profit when there is no shipping charge.  That saves you bundles of money. I wish all the hatcheries worked that way.

I'm thinking about placing an order for Cuckoo Marans, Welsummers and a few others soon! I really need a few golden laced cochins pullets to go with my rooster boy.

Update. I received my chicks and all are growing into beautiful birds. I had ordered SLW and one of them is a GLW. I am not disappointed, but you expect to get what you order.
