What about Faverolles?  I was going to get some of them until I realized eggs are making my eczema worse.  They are a heritage breed and are really nice, mellow chickens.

Here on BYC, Cloverleaf Farm (Jeanine McKee - Ameraucana Breeders Club - Western District Director; Faverolles Fanciers of America - President; Pacific Northwest ) has them, among others.  I was going to get some from her because she's close to me.  She also had a really good deal going on eggs a couple weeks ago and I think she's still offering it.  http://www.backyardchickens.com/t/634223/12-bantam-hatching-eggs-faverolles-seramas-and-ameraucanas-mixed-bag

Ancona ducks

Sebastopol geese

Serama chickens

Hey guys!! This last little baby is going strong! I'm watching him through the window on top of the incubator. He's moving around into what looks like pipping position and the yolk is receding into its body more. Looks like we might have a survivor!
I love my animals, they are my life and I couldn't imagine it without them!

If someone says, "Don't do that! You wasn't raised in a barn!" I can honestly say, "I was too raised in a barn!"

Goosed... no!!  Your baby internally pipped on schedule and has been making steady progress!

FYI, after the baby internally pips, he will not only go through an internal process of switching on the lung system, but also he is eating the inner membrane while the blood veins that flow through that membrane recede into body.  There is a lot going on inside that egg for a good 24 hours between internal and external pip.

Fantastic, Chikn!!!  Are you seeing it turn its head around and nibble at air? Sometimes opening beak wide... like we would if stetching our jaw?
