Here we go again - I'm hatching more goslings!! - Page 134

I have her in a big rubber maid tub. It works great and holds heat well. She has 2 lovies in there (thanks to my kid's abundant supply of stuffed animals) and towels and such. The girls are so worried because she keeps peeping any time someone isn't around. They are taking shifts sitting by her lol.

That baby in your pic is precious!

I have to special order feed from my local mom/pop store, but you may try looking at mazuri website for major distributors like TSC.

Iain, how much does that food run?  When you and celtic were talking about it, I called around, but nada.  We have some distributers who can maybe get it.

Why don't sheep shrink in the rain?

Why is there brail at drive up ATMs??

Why are their floatation devices instead of parachutes in my airplain seat???

If a tree falls in the woods and my husband doesn't hear it, am I still wrong????

I let one of my little helpers hold her for a minute while I changed around the brooder. This is such a great experience for my kids.

Thanks, Goosed!!  It is a baby from Celtic's eggs.  If you want any africans, I am sure she would be happy to sell you a few to add to your toulouse eggs.

I am sure Ester will be the most spoiled/loved gosling around.  So happy for all of you!!!

Marty, I think it is $40 a bag.  I try not to pay attention to the price... and just hand feed store guy my card and tell him to ring it up.

My menagerie includes 5 horses, 3 dogs, 4 cats, 32 geese (dewlap toulouse & african) and 10 ducks (muscovy, ancona, cayuga & silver appleyard).

And Ester the easter goose is a perfect name for her.  Another miracle....

LOL, I know what you mean, but I'm afraid I have to pay some attentioin.  We have a large restoration going on, and while we aren't poor, I do count dollers cause old stuff is even more expensive than new stuff is.  Perhpas I can mix it half and half w/something else, and at least get some benefits.  Maybe start with it for the first month and then slowly change to other stuff I usually use thats made at one of our local feed stores.

I do that with my oldest ducks and goslings.  I had previously ordered starter for my newest hatches, but not grower.  Then I had my angel wing issues with my then 5 week olds. Since feed store happened to have a bag of mazuri maintenance on hand (had to order grower), I am mixing half mazuri maintenance with half purina unmed start and grow for my older sets, until feed store gets my grower in and I can do a complete switch over for all birds.

My menagerie includes 5 horses, 3 dogs, 4 cats, 32 geese (dewlap toulouse & african) and 10 ducks (muscovy, ancona, cayuga & silver appleyard).

Such a beautiful little baby!!
I love my animals, they are my life and I couldn't imagine it without them!

If someone says, "Don't do that! You wasn't raised in a barn!" I can honestly say, "I was too raised in a barn!"

The Erins toulouse, 2 sebs and the little toulouse are all moving heavy shadows visable in airsac.  The little sub that was behind is almost caught up and moving activily, while another far along sleeps now.  Looks like I'll have 5 babies if all goes well.  Glad I don't have to work tomarrow!
